                        chorus

     two letters gaping—
\ notes that span; make something / queue
\ the starting flag / shot gun spread leaves: ribs, palpitations
    \
\ of aria / pulpit bullets: shell casings expired singing swarm
\ clatter, singing soap pillar, singing succubus film / the dead son shifts
          \
\ through pews (rotting silk; slides) fingers up my spine
\ searching for an ending, rubber necking destiny / story
                \
\ of his life: lookin' for Trouble— I wear her (close) / fame by
\ frame: atomic sirens; blue & white of band stands, of hand
                      \
\ cuffs / it is not violence (that gets to me) / it is stillness
                          \ banking—
                                                   Armageddon: a date & a lottery ticket
